My Favorite Maps: Week of November 11, 2024

I spend a lot of time creating new features for Metro Map Maker, and lots of time browsing all of the great maps that visitors like you have created.

I've added some of my favorite maps to the gallery, but visitors like you make maps much, much faster than I can review them. (This is a great problem to have!)

Version 6 made it so you could browse every map ever made by date; version 6.1 added the "Browse by City" feature. Both of these were meant to help you discover your new favorite map.

But I wanted a new way to show off all of the wonderful and fun maps you've made, so I want to try a new video series, at least for a little while.

The idea is: I'll look at all of the maps made in Metro Map Maker over the previous week and select my favorites. I'll also include links to every map in the video notes so you can remix your favorites.

Creating this video was a fun experiment, and although it's very time-consuming, it's also a lot of fun, and I think I'll get quicker with more practice. I want to try to keep doing it for at least a few more weeks.
